European Islamophobia Report 2024
The “European Islamophobia Report 2024” (EIR 2024), edited by Prof. Dr. Enes Bayraklı, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, and Prof. Farid Hafez (Georgetown University), has been published. The report systematically and independently examines anti-Muslim racism across Europe.
First published in 2015, the report has become one of the most authoritative reference sources for understanding how Islamophobia has shaped public discourse, policy frameworks, and institutional practices across Europe over the past decade. By revealing patterns that were previously denied or ignored, the report clearly shows that Islamophobia is not a temporary phenomenon, but rather an inherent, persistent, and evolving form of racism within European societies. In this context, the 10th anniversary of the study marks both a turning point and a powerful warning.
