The agreement was signed between Turkish-German University and the German International Cooperation Association (GIZ).

In order to establish a framework for cooperation between Turkish-German University (TAU) and the German International Cooperation Association (Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit-GIZ) in the field of asylum and migration, to ensure the integration of refugees and migrants in the host society, to ensure the social and economic integration of refugees in Turkey. A cooperation agreement was signed in order to support the Turkish community in its integration and at the same time to help the disadvantaged population in the host society. TAU and GIZ will jointly operate for the determined communities and will also provide access to fieldwork to expand the application knowledge in their fields of expertise by increasing the academic research opportunities of Turkish-German University academics and students.
