The conference titled ‘The Daily Life Experiences of Highly Skilled Migrants in Germany’ was held live on YouTube on 19 December 2025. Dr. Fatma Güzin Ağca Varoğlu, a lecturer from the Department of Sociology at our University's Faculty of Culture and Social Sciences, was the speaker, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Soytürk, a lecturer from the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, was the moderator. Conference Held on “Turkey's Migration Atlas: From the Historical Process to the Present Day”

The conference titled “Turkey's Migration Atlas: From Historical Process to Present Day,” with Associate Professor Mehmet Soytürk as the speaker and Assistant Professor Mustafa Berat Keskin as the moderator, was held live on YouTube on November 19, 2025.

Prof. Hacı-Halil Uslucan, who is a professor at the Department of Turcology of University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany and director of the Turkey and Integration Studies Foundation, gave a seminar titled "Mittendrin, aber auch dabei? Wie gut ist die gesellschaftliche Teilhabe der Türken in Deutschland?" at the Social Sciences Building of our University on April 22, 2024.

Screening of the Documentary EnstANtane and an Interview with Director Hakan Aytekin was held

In the series of film screenings on migration initiated by our Center to draw attention to the issue of migration and raise awareness, this month the documentary EnstANtane, written and directed by Hakan Aytekin, was screened on January 8, 2024 at the Social Sciences Building Cinema Hall.  In the documentary EnstANtane, whose starting point is an ordinary group photo frame taken in Mardin-İdil in the late 1980s, international migration is discussed in the context of "those who go" and "those who stay", and the questions "Is it difficult to go, to stay or to be together again?" are sought through a snapshot.

"Migration: Dimensions of Social, Organizational and Individual Justice" Seminar was held

Prof. Dr. Dilek Zamantılı Nayır, Faculty Member of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Turkish-German University, made a presentation titled "Migration: Dimensions of Social, Organizational and Individual Justice" at the School of Foreign Languages Conference Hall on November 28, 2023.

The preparations for the building up a new library for migrations studies at the Center have been launched.
